English 3C/4C Sheltered
Sheltered English is a college-preparatory course. Students are required to meet the same standards as those taking a non-sheltered class. So what is the difference? This class is comprised of students who are approaching fluency in the English language and who are capable of producing work at or above the college-prep level. To help them achieve this, I will give learners additional support and employ a variety of teaching strategies designed for this purpose.
My personal goal for this year is to provide all students with a rich, relevant, engaging, and challenging curriculum to enhance their reading, writing, speaking, and critical thinking skills. Furthermore, I will prepare students for success on the CELDT, CAHSEE, and CST exams.
